Happy Belated Thanksiving, Baby

Nathan and I gave Sophie a bath this morning and headed to my aunt Lauri’s house in The Woodlands to see my little sister Abi and her new baby.

Aden Marlee!

I, on the other hand, am a veritable Mary Poppins.

In addition to ogling the baby (it’s been 7 years since I held one, yo!), we also made a Thanksgiving Feast (minus the turkey) since we were eating rations in Big Bend while everyone else in America was stuffing their faces in gratitude.

Feast

Nathan preparing to get jiggy with it.

Nathan about 10 minutes later.

The green bean casserole was extra crispy, the sweet potato to marshmallow ratio was 1 to 3, respectively, and we didn’t even get to try the pumpkin pie, which will be had tomorrow for breakfast. I might even have another glass of that pinot grigio.

Dad, wtf IS that?

Sophie was extremely interested in the baby. She exhibited some slightly jealous behaviour at first, but after she got a little better aquainted with him, she started to seem really interested. She was very concerned when the baby cried or grunted. He did the latter A LOT. But it was cute grunting.

More baby pictures shortly!
